5-Amino-1MQ
Warnings. Research compound with no completed human trials; long-term safety is unknown.
Mechanism
Inhibits the NNMT enzyme, increasing NAD+ salvage-pathway availability and SIRT1 activity, which enhances cellular metabolism and reduces adipogenesis and fat-cell size.
Overview
5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule inhibitor of NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase), an enzyme overexpressed in fat tissue that slows metabolism. By inhibiting NNMT it boosts cellular NAD+ availability and metabolic rate, promoting fat loss - particularly visceral fat - while preserving lean mass. Unlike most peptides it is taken orally.
